The AURA Pain Prevention Committee (Comité de Lutte contre la Douleur- CLUD) was created in 2002.

This committee is composed of representatives of the various structures and diverse staff categories at AURA (nurses’ aides, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, physiotherapists, quality supervisor).

The AURA Pain Prevention Committee works in close collaboration with the committees in our partner institutions.

Its missions are to implement and make known all therapies permitting relief of pain in patients with chronic renal failure whether or not they are treated with dialysis.

Pain evaluation scales are available in the units. AURA staff members are at your disposal to explain how to use the scales.
